Support the Ark
Without the generosity of donations from the Ark’s supporters and funders, none of our work at the Ark would be possible. From buying peanut butter to attract pests to traps, to searching for and protecting kōkako nests, there is always a need for support from funders and the community.

Donate to the Ark
Wanting to donate to the Ark, but not ready for a long term commitment? That’s fine! Donations of any size are truly appreciated by the Ark team and our wildlife.
Donations can be made through the Forest & Bird website. All donations gifted through the Ark in the Park page will come straight to the Ark, to support our work in the Waitākere Ranges.
Give a Trap
Prefer to know exactly what your donation is supporting? While direct donations mean we’re able to cover costs that grants don’t fund, we know that sometimes you want to choose exactly where your donation goes.
The amazing Give a Trap allows us to share exactly which traps we need to protect the Ark, and lets you choose which and how many you’d like to donate. You can choose to get updates as your trap makes it’s journey to the Ark, and choose for us to keep in touch with you and share our trapping results. Thank you to Penny Willocks for the vision that made this happen.
Donate materials
Prefer to support the Ark in a more tangible manner? We are often on the look out for different materials, from vanilla essence and peanut butter for lures, to tools to keep our traps maintained.
Please get in touch if you would like to offer your support through the donation of materials, or if your business is able to offer a discount for field supplies such as gardening gloves.
Show your support
Want to show your support proudly? Great news – you can buy some gorgeous cards featuring the Ark thanks to our talented volunteers. There are 8 designs to choose from featuring all the Ark from the ground up, with 100% of the money coming directly to the Ark project.
These are currently only available in person at the Ark, please let us know if you’d like to pick some up. As we can’t provide receipts on site, if you’d like to make a purchase of more than $50 let us know and we’ll make a plan! Payment can be made via cash (exact amounts only please) or bank transfer upon collection.
$3 for a single card, $15 for 5, or $20 for 8 to get one of each print.
