Matariki events near the Ark

Guided walks in the Waitākere Ranges:
Local historian and story teller Rewi Spraggon retells the story of Te Kawerau a Maki, mana whenua of the area.
There are two separate walks, one in Huia and the other in Te Henga
When: 11am–2pm Wednesday 29th June (Huia) and Wednesday 6th July (Te Henga)
Suitable footwear required, dress for weather, bring lunch and water. Both these walks are approximately 3 hours in length.

Matariki at Arataki
Celebrate Matariki with workshops held at the Arataki Visitor Center. Various topics like: Traditional Maori healing and massage, Mokihi making, Play Ukulele, Medicines of the forest, Children's Poi making.
